Whoo, Lindzee looks exciting

I think the OPK I took earlier is positive. I'll try to post a pic of it later. I just like another opinion and reassurance on these things! Based on past experience, my LH surge is neither long nor strong, and since I saw a bit of a temp dip today, I think O-day might be tomorrow. I'll try for some BDing tonight, but hubby isn't feeling well.

But here's the bigger (future) dilemma. Suppose this my IUI cycle. How am I supposed to get an +OPK today and somehow get IUI scheduled for tomorrow morning? Might it already be too late at that point? Or am I overthinking this? I've never ever gotten more than one positive OPK and sometimes would get almost positive and then the next one would be even less towards positive. Just trying to figure out how to schedule this when the time comes. Then there's the issue of getting hubby's cooperation. Ugh.

Beth- I also stalk you too, if you o tomorrow and have the IUI tomorrow, that should be perfect, fingers crossed, i guess today would probably be the best for the IUI, is there any way they can get you in today, i am so hoping it all goes well babe xoxo

Beth, where's the pic??? At my clinic they say to come in the day after you get your + OPK. Obviously, it;s not an exact science and they time it as well as they can. maybe you could ask for an u/s to confirm O and eggies? Is that a possibility I wonder. You better get the Mr to give it up tonight! To hell with him not feeling well, you're using the femara and OPKs and don't want to let this chance slip by!

I went and got my b/w done this after to check my betas. Here's to hoping. (Although I'm still not convinced of anything...chart or other wise)

p.s. not to add fuel to the fire but i just looked back on my charts and when I am on clomid my cycles are 32 or 33 days long. Today is CD 35. so I guess I am officially "late". Hmmmm. We;ll see.....we'll see. Not jumping the gun!

Lindzee, I forgot.....Clomid can make your LP longer. Still.....anxious to see what tomorrow brings for you!

Yes, clomid does lengthen LPs. My LP off clomid is 13 days and on clomid it is 15 days. At least looking back on my chart history. Whatever, it is what it is. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

The clinic called this morning and my blood work came back positive!

However......my levels are only 11.................Getting my blood taken again tomorrow. Not sure what to think and really don't want to go through another miscarriage again!!!!!!

LINDZEE!!!! What did I say about being cautiously optimistic? I knew this couldn't be a normal BFN cycle! So we'll remain optimistic. I can hardly wait to hear the next set of numbers. Stick, little bean, STICK! OMG, I'm so excited!!!

Nope, no BDing last night. He's sick and said he couldn't do it. I knew that was my chance though. Bleh.

Here's the requested pics which I took tonight. Top one is yesterday's OPK and the bottom one is from earlier this evening. I really think the top one was positive but it looks faded now. Funny pee story because as another online friend of mine told me, I always have such good ones! So I forgot to POAS this afternoon so when I remembered it, rushed to the restroom to do it, even though I really didn't have to pee. So I stuck the stick down there, peed, pulled it back and looked at the test window. Nothing happening. Hmmmmm. I look closer, then actually touched the peed-on part......bone dry. I peed and missed actually peeing on the damn stick! Grrrrr! I sat and tried to muster up some more, but couldn't, lol. So I took this one after I got home tonight but it wasn't very concentrated.

That is why I like the dip in a cup ones, no missing or messy mistakes!!! LOL!! Test looks pretty damn close to + to me!

I'll KUP about tomorrow. I REALLY hope my numbers goes up tomorrow!!!! I guess that's why I didn't get a pos HPT because my levels weren't high enough. For my miscarriage my first beat was 50, so this is quite a bit lower. Not sure what to think, but I am convincing myself it is not the initial number and that it will dbl tomorrow. Thanks for all your support Beth!

I am remembering that Emma's first beta was really low, but I think she had her first beta earlier than mine. I guess we'll see. Hoping and praying!!!!

Earlier today I showed your chart to another online friend of mine because you were driving me crazy by not testing again, lol. She thought it looked promising as well....and now she's asking me if you can get on progesterone to help this be viable. Will you ask about that tomorrow?

I don't think it's my prog that is a problem. I will def ask to see what the levels are and if they are sufficient. Usually my prog is in the 30s or 40s Good thing to ask about though. Thank you for thinking of me. I really, really hope this is a fighting, sticky little bean. Trying so, so hard to be positive and think positive thoughts. xoxo

Congrats Lindzee!!!! I have been stalking your chart all week!!!! Really hope the number doubles hun, the initial number is not important! When was the last time you did a home pregnancy test? It could just be that implantation happened later on in the LP which is why the number is a little lower than last time and why your test was negative. Good Luck I know how scary these early days are!

So I am kind of pissed off about this whole thing. The dr told me yesterday that my prog was not very high, 14.something (not that great on clomid at all!!) and gave me some prometrium to take. The thing that makes me mad is that a nurse called me very early last week and told me that i had ovulated and my prog was fine. Well the doc said it was not and that I should have been on prometrium the whole time!!! Now who's to say what might have been...but I am not going to dwell on that.....

The point that I want to make is that i feel the clinic is not taking very good care of me. The nurses barely take the time to read my chart before calling [eg. so I see you had an IUI and then got pregnant this cycle....NO! I was just on clomid, WTF, can they read???]

And then my dr is pissing me off too. Do you know what she said at my appt?? That IVF was the biggest bang for my buck and that I should at least move on to IUI + injectables even though I haven't even done clomid + IUI yet!!! Does that even make sense? Why is she jumping the gun? i feel it's a money grab and in her appt she was so rushed. Also, she has not given me a diagnosis yet! I had to ask, NOT her, was there anything else like a laproscopy that we could do to check for things like endrometriosis to see if that is the reason why things aren't sticking. My DH said, WTF, why haven't all the tests been done yet?? and that I had to suggest it!?

Seriously I am SO mad that I don't know what to do and I don't even know what the plan is/should be for this cycle. Any advice or suggestions?????

Lindzee, I'm so sorry to hear about all of this. I really think though that your Doc is probably suggesting the injectables because he/she doesn't want to have you waiting and trying treatments which possibly won't work. I know when I was referred to fertility before getting pregnant with Molly, she suggested just going straight onto icsi instead of wasting my time with iui etc as she believed it would give me the best chance of getting pregnant. I think you should maybe carry on but look at other clinics if you can at the same time. I can't give much advice as I don't know how the system works in the US. Has anyone ever suggested you try 75mg per day of aspirin? You could give it a go, as it helps people with endo and multiple miscarriages. I was actually on it when I got pregnant with Molly. I hope you come up with something with your doc and don't be afraid to tell him/her that you feel the nurses are not reading your notes properly either. Just say that you feel you have to go over everything every time you call the office and it makes you feel really fed up. BIG hugs hun and keep us updated xxx

Lindzee, I understand your frustration! 14 is not terrible progesterone reading (they like to see 15+ on a medicated cycle) but based on your past readings, no, it isn't great. Personally I think the doc. is jumping on things to suggest IVF. You're only on 50mg of Clomid, the lowest dose, and you're right, you haven't tried Clomid along with IUI yet.

Have you had any ultra-sounds done yet? That might give a clue as to the condition of your uterus I found out I had a few tiny fibroids (nothing that affects fertility) and that I had a thickened uterine lining (most likely from several annovulatory/poor ovulatory cycles). I'm not sure if endo would show up on a u/s or not. Something to ask about.

I think the encouraging thing here is that you have now conceived twice, so we know it can happen....just gotta get that eggie to stick. And sometimes that doctors have no diagnosis for why this doesn't happen....hence the diagnosis "explained infertility."

If I were you, I'd ask if you can do 100mg Clomid with IUI next unless you'd like to ask for injectiles with IUI instead.
