TTC for over 12 months

Just thought this could be a place where ladies that are having trouble in TTC land can discuss things like fertility testing, treatments and so on. I have been ttc for over 2 years and would love other ladies that are having trouble to join me here!

I think your input is fab...keep going!! I hope you don't mind but I felt that TTC for 12 months or more deserved it's very own forum where you can create buddy groups and have single posts dedicated to members who have been TTC for 12 months or more..it means that everything in this forum is applicable to the people in it!!

I got really confused when it moved!!!! I thought I had posted it in the wrong place at first but then I realised what you had done! lol!

Oh and I meant to say that of course I don't mind!!!!!

Wow, stories like yours really can give people so much hope. I found out I was pregnant the day after being referred to an IVF specialist. I'm convinced it was helped by having my surgery for endometriosis. It took only 3 attempts after the surgery.

Helen your story has given me LOADS of hope! After over 2 years ttc it's hard to belive that is can happen for me but then I hear women like you say how long it took and it makes me realise that anything can happen. I have my first consultation with the Fertility Clinic on Monday and I hope they can tell me where to go from here!

It took me over two years to conceive my first, had clomid and the HSG. Thought it might never happen.

Shelly, I have a friend who had the Clomid and it never worked for her She had some bad news at one point and her mind was on that and she fell pregnant and now is a mum to her second baby boy who is coming up one in December !!!!

It never ceases to amaze me this ttc business. Couples try everything for years and nothing happens only for them to give up and then wham they are pregnant!! Mother nature is very weird!!

I didnt conceive whilst on the clomid either, although it did kick start my ovulation.
I conceived the same month I had the HSG, think it cleared the dust out of my tubes

I wanted to pop in here and wish everyone lucj, it takes alot of stregth to be here at this point! I commend you all for it I for exactly 24 Mos and it felt like it would never happen and when it did happen it feels like it is the perfect time and you just kind of forget about how long it felt like it took but you never forget your journey. You will all get there one day and I hope that one day is soon

Funny you should say that, as I once did a work placement within fertility as a student nurse and one couple had been trying for 12 years to get pregnant, they gave up and were accepted to adopt. They finally adopted a baby and found themselves pregnant. They seemed like they couldn't believe it and were in and out of hospital with every twinge, bless them! I bet they're amazing parents!

Awww that really is a lovely story! Although I hope and pray that it wont take me 12 years to concieve! :shock:

I did have my appointment today and it went okay, although I pretty much felt like it was just a waste of time! I have been booked in for an HSG on 14th January 2009 but I am fine with that wait, gives me time to prepare myself! After that, if my tubes are okay we will move onto IUI! It all seems a long way off at the moment but I am happy to have a plan of action!
