Leanne - hang in there maybe all this activity now means your early labor will be a little less intense.

Sparkles - That is so great you got to hear a heartbeart for some reason that is always such a comfort to hear.

After calling a few times and tracking down which doctor had my blood test I finally got a doctor's appt. So it looks like I won't have my first appointment until Oct. 6th. The nurse who scheduled my appt asked if I was taking prenatals already. Thankfully I have already gone down this road but I guess I will just be patient. Although I just realized that it means I will not have a first trimester u/s.

Post  mscherry42 Sat Sep 19, 2009 11:17 am

Sparkles-Yea! to hearing a beautiful strong heartbeat. I can't wait to hear that.

Leanne-You sound like Nika at the end of her pregnancy, maybe yours and her daughter can be best friends. lol I love the whole grounding until she can pay bills!!!

I am starting to feel nauseous now. I must remember to eat small snacks all day in between meals, because if I don't that's when the nauseous is the worst, and I get real weak and faint like the baby has eaten all my strength away. DF is finally getting excited. He even said that it's ok if we end up having another girl. But that's because he's already made up his mind to get "fixed" once I have the baby, no matter what sex it is.

I have my first appointment on Wednesday. I had a very hard time getting in so soon to see a doctor. One place said that they don't see patients until at least 10 weeks!!! OMG, why make a person wait that long? She said it's so that they can do an ultrasound that day, but geez, I would settle for a sonogram at the first visit, and ultrasound later. But, anyway, I couldn't get a female doctor unless I wanted to drive like 25-30 minutes to Boise for every appointment. The answer to that was a big fat NO. I don't want to be huge trying to drive far on the freaking freeway for an appointment. And for Jadah, I had a male OB, although he got on my nerves towards the end of the pregnancy, but he was very good at what he did, so we'll see with this one.

I have to get up now. Bladder is full, tummy is empty, and also we had a sleepover last night and the girls are probably hungry.

Mscherry- Those 21 gram protein bars helped me so much when I was pregnant and needing small protein filled snacks. Just wanted to let you know!!

I used to break off quarters of them in between meals, and it helped a lot!

Post  Georgi Sat Sep 19, 2009 5:56 pm

So where is Sapphire these days?? Thinking of you honey and really would love to know how you are doing!!

Leanne - I don't envy you one bit, I really hope to hear everytime you post that contractions have started and stayed/and are staying!! Come on little baby!!

Sparkles - How are you? Now that you are feeling much more relaxed in your pregnancy have you started to think about whether baby#2 is a boy or girl? do you have a preference? and will kyrah be sharing a room with her sibling?

Emma - How are you feeling sweetness?? I hope you are feeling more positive about things! HUGS

mscherry - YAY!!! Welcome sweetie, how exciting to have yet another member join is over here....there are a lot of pregnant members on parentise now! I hear you are feeling sick already, I had sickness from 5 weeks this time around and some days it was really bad....ice lollies helped a little bit and sweets? odd I know but they did seem to help and it is what I craved.

Well I am feeling great, most definately in the honeymoon phase now Smile/happy no more sickness YAY!! and I am feeling my baby GIRL move a lot, still not feeling major kicks from the outside too much but I checked my notes and have read that I have a anterior placenta so it makes sense to why I am not feeling really powerful kicks and probably why I couldn't pick up the HB until about 11 wks on my doppler!

I am getting really excited about getting the babies bedroom sorted out, I have lots of beautiful fabrics which I am going to magically turn into a bedset for baby girl and make a few adjustments here and there for Theo, so that thing's all match up. I have lots of ideas to make their room special it's just a shame that it's such a pokey room which means I am restricted. Just been painting the walls today and hopefully by next weekend we would have swapped the office and Theo's room around so that I can actually make a proper start on things.

OMG, I've missed a lot that I need to catch up with but Georgi, I'm feeling much better hun, thanks for asking. I saw my own midwife today for the first time who I also had last time. We had a long 2 hour chat and she is going to do a number of things to help me. Firstly, she will be the only one to see me so I have some continuity, she will refer me to a different obstetrician and we have agreed that if I go into labour naturally I can give birth at the co-located midwife led unit which is brand spanking new with twon birth pools and is a door's width from the consultant unit in the main hospital. I am very happy with this and feel much more positive. I did think the vomiting had stopped but today threw up my tea Cry
Still unsure though as to whether we put the house on the market to move before baby arrives. We had thought of selling you see and renting for a while in a location where I would feel happier but then that would change all the birth plans. Very confused :p We have no equity in our house and have a few debts to pay off so we can't afford to buy bigger where we want to but at the same time dh is getting fedd up of the commute to work and I just can't stand this town.
Forgot to say also that I heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday for the first time, nice and strong at 144 bpm.

Leanne, hope things progress for you and that you aren't hanging about too much longer waiting.

Sparkles, glad you heard the heartbeat, it must be such a huge reassurance and you must be near the 12 week mark too now. Still, look after yourself, you've been through a lot. Maybe you should pick a name which denotes this babies strength as he/she has well and truly been clinging on in there.

MSCherry, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly, I know that all too well. I had to take drugs in the end which wasn't great but I couldn't even tolerate water at one point. When things did start to settle though, I found apple juice helped. My dh said that it is the pectin in it that helps settle the stomach. I had the 100% pressed stuff though as opposed to the concentrate.

Congrats Cherry!!!!

Ginny - I am in the DC area--too many people and not enough doctors. The practice I go to has three doctors but only one is actually delivering babies now. I guess because of the insurance costs. But it is even worse if I try and switch doctors and go somewhere else so I will be patient.

Emma - I am so glad you are starting to feel better.

How is everyone else doing?

Sparks - i think i replied your post but if i didnt then grats on the baby heart beat hehe lol

And again i know its my first pregnant most of you on second but i did find makeing my meals small and often stoped my morning sickness and drinking a glass of milk and eating dry toast b4 bed

I forgot my purse at home today, so I had to make do with what I had in my drawer at work. I did bring some fruit in though. I had an apple and two slices of toast at 5:30am, a plum, some gourmet chocolate malt balls, dill pickle pringles, and some oatmeal at like 10:45am, now I am eating Pizza Hut(was able to order online cause I remembered my debit card number) beef pizza, hot wings and sierra mist. I said that I was going to eat better this pregnant and already I'm off to a horrible start. Oh well, at least the nausea and light headedness is gone.

Hey start thinking positively hun....you aren't overdue yet!! My son arrived 1 day before his EDD and I had no signs of labour at all up until I actually went into labour (waters broke, mucus plug came out sick and then contractions got bad...QUICKLY!! all in the space of 2 hours shock ) it can literally happen at anytime now!!!!! x

Mscherry - If it keeps the sickness at bay then eat what you fancy, you've eaten some fruit today so a bit of what you fancy won't do you or that little bean of yours any harm Smile/happy

Post  Georgi Tue Sep 22, 2009 7:22 am

I had my 24 week midwife appointment today and I asked her about my spotting...I have spotted a few times now last night being another occasion, it's not brown or red blood just light pink but obvious to me and no it's not after DTD! anyway....she said there is nothing for me to be alarmed about it and said that my cervix might have an embrasion (sp?). My blood pressure is spot on and baby was moving tons, HB is now in the 140's and I am measuring 24 weeks so overall a good appointment. I also learnt today that at 28 weeks we get £190 from the government to buy (I assume) equipment for the baby shock I never knew about this so it is a lovely surprise.

I have also bought a baby swing from Ebay YAY!! it's one I have wanted for a VERY long time, plays 10 songs, 6 speeds, has toys that make sounds hanging above babies head and folds away for easy storage Smile/happy costs around £70 brandnew and I got it for DUH....DUH...DUH....£17!!! Smile/happy very pleased.

Anyone else bought anything for baby?????

and where is SAPPHIRE???????????????????????

Ooh Georgi I heard about the £190, it's apparently money that is meant for spending on health type things, ie healthy food in the latter stages of pregnancy. I plan to spend mine on acupuncture as it is starting to mount up. I'm sure not everyone will be spending it on 'health' though!

Hi ladies

georgi- to answer your questions, yes i am now thinking about baby's sex, i thought girl originally, then when this one stuck i though boy but now i think girl again but i seem to refer to it as him so who knows lol, i dont mind, i would love to shop for a boy but two girls would also be fantastic. Kyrah and baby will have their own rooms, i cant wait to decorate them both, if its a girl the nursery will stay the smae and Kyrah will go into a bed and have a new room, cnt wait i already have her bed spread etc yay about the money you get to spend on baby. i have a swing for bubs and it was great for Kyrah i am happy to have it this time as baby will be off the floor with a toddler running around if i need my hands free.

Leanne- i hope your little princess comes soon

Galaxy - i seen your photos on face boook - gorgeous!!!

hi all
i have my nucal scan in two weeks, i am 11 weeks today yay!!!
